Align & Thrive Class
standing, seated on floor (mat) & lying on mat
A mat Pilates workout, introducing the fundamentals of Pilates. We will focus on functional movements to help you find alignment, balance, strength, flexibility and ease in your everyday life. We will exercise in standing, seated and lying down on the Pilates mat.
Suitable for anyone (from beginners to Pilates pros) who is comfortable getting up and down from floor level. I will meet you wherever you are with your fitness. You will be encouraged to work at your own pace.
Courses run in termly blocks of 6-7 weeks. It's highly recommended to book for the full term of classes to gain the full benefits as we will build on our movement experience week to week. If there are spaces available you are welcome to book a drop in class.
Ageless Strength Class
mainly standing on the floor & seated on chair
Following the Pilates principles, we'll focus on functional movements needed to build & maintain strength for everyday movements, like getting in and out of a chair easily. We will exercise in standing position and seated on a chair. Later in the course optional matwork will be offered if and when ready. Variations for those needing to sit or stand will still always be available. I'll meet you where you are and you are encouraged to go at your own pace.
In our Ageless Strength classes, we aim to improve your performance of tasks such as:
getting out of a low chair with more ease
walking further and with better steadiness
improving balance to reduce risk of falling over
Courses run in termly blocks of 6-7 weeks. It's highly recommended to book for the full term of classes to gain the full benefits as we will build on our movement experience week to week. If there are spaces available you are welcome to book a drop in class.
What to bring to class
water bottle
comfortable clothes that you can move in
grippy socks if you are borrowing a mat (available to buy £3.99 on the day if needed)
If you prefer to use your own mat please feel free to bring it along, otherwise a mat will be provided
